I’m Kate, owner of Kate Alison Photography LLC and Firework Photo Booth Co. I specialize in documenting the passionate and personal moments between creatively colorful couples in New York City and New England. With a passion for capturing vibrant, magical memories, creating safe and fun experiences, and lifting up my community, I've built my business with a strong foundation of core values, advocating for equality, diversity, and inclusion within the wedding industry, and establishing meaningful, supportive relationships with my clients and fellow vendors.
Meet The Team
My pronouns are she/her/hers. I'm an introvert and a vegetarian living in Brooklyn, NY with my wife and chihuahua. After growing up outside of Boston, snapping photos of everything with disposable and point-and-shoot cameras, I started my photography career in 2009 as an intern at Disneyland, which turned into a five-year full-time job. After relocating to NYC in 2014, I decided to follow my heart and dive into exclusively working in weddings. In addition to photography, I also lead the NYC chapter of the Rising Tide Society, an international network of creative entrepreneurs, co-founded the Queer Wedding Collective, a planning and advice resource for the LGBTQIA+ community, and run LesBiTravels, a travel blog for queer women, with my wife.

We do not endorse any particular Vendor nor do we guarantee the quality of their goods or services. You should use our services as a starting point for identifying those vendors that have the products or services you need who happily serve the LGBTQ+ community, then conduct your own research to ensure the service providers you choose to do business with are appropriate for you.
